How fresh is SentiSense data?

When each dataset updates, from delayed prices to quarterly filings, and how to check the date on a value.

Each dataset updates on its own schedule. None of it is live, so check the date or time that comes with each value.

Data How often it updates
Stock prices Delayed 15 minutes. Outside market hours, the last regular-session close
SentiSense Score and sentiment Daily. Readings are produced in batches, so today's reading stays empty until its batch has run
SentiSense Rating Once each trading day, the morning after the session
Market Mood Several times each trading day, settling after the close
Insights Generated in batches. Check the generatedAt time and the dates of the data each one draws on
Options readings Computed in the evening and refreshed the next morning. Until the new session is published, the previous session can still show. The in-app Intraday board is 15 minutes delayed
Analyst ratings and price targets Usually about once a day. A change at the source can take longer to show up, so check the observation date
Earnings calendar Refreshed during the week, with results added after a company reports
Insider trades From Form 4 filings, which insiders generally must file within two business days of the trade. We then process them in batches
Institutional holdings Quarterly, from 13F filings due 45 days after each quarter ends
Congressional trades Added in batches once disclosed. Filings are due no later than 45 days after the trade, and late filings and our processing can add more delay

Why a value looks out of date

  • A Score with no reading yet for today shows as empty, not zero.
  • The latest quarter of institutional holdings stays thin until the filing deadline passes.
  • A congressional trade can appear weeks after the trade date. See why congressional trades show up late.

Each API reference page states the freshness of its fields.
